HOWEVER, if I do a system restore, won't I have to restore the computer to it being back to WIndows 7 in order for it to work? Please help. I believe I have done everything to troubleshoot except for do a system restore. I just upgraded my laptop two days ago from WIndows 7 to Windows 10, and up until then the printer printed fine. When I ran a test page at one point the Print queue said the printer is out of paper and it's not. Diagnostic tool could not identify the problem. I downloaded the drivers and installed them. I have power cycled both laptop and printer, removed the printer from the Device Manager and added it back in, reseated all cables, sent multiple print jobs (and deleted them after they wouldn't print, ran HP scanning tool. When i had Windows find the printer by itself, it detected the printer as being "Deskjet 6970". I have been trying for 2 days now to print with my HP Photosmart 8150 since I finally upgraded my laptop to Windows 10.
